Spiral Classifier

The spiral classifier is a common screening and dressing equipment for mechanical classification by means of different precipitation speeds of solid particles in a liquid. The classifier mainly has four types of sorghum single helix and double helix, sunken single helix and double helix. Among them, the high-grade classifier is suitable for coarse-grain classification, and the maximum overflow particle size is generally 0.4-0.15mm; the submerged classifier is suitable for fine-grain classification, and the maximum overflow size is generally below 0.2mm.

Equipment composition

The classifier is mainly composed of a transmission device, a spiral body, a trough body, a lifting mechanism, a lower bearing (bearing bush) and a discharge valve.

1.Transmission: The spiral classifier consists of an electric motor, a reducer, a cylindrical gear pair and a bevel gear.

2.Spiral (left and right): consists of a hollow shaft, a bracket, a spiral blade, a lining iron, and the like. The hollow shaft is welded by seamless steel pipe and journal and flange. The lining iron is made of wear-resistant material, and wear life is the key in use.

3.Lower support: It is easy to wear due to long-term immersion in the slurry, and frequent maintenance and replacement is its main feature. Therefore, this machine uses a live bushing and a nylon bush structure. After the bushing and the bearing bush wear, the new set of bushings and tiles can be replaced after lifting the screw with the lifting mechanism for ten minutes, which is convenient for maintenance and replacement.

4.Sink: welded by steel plate and various steel sections. The water tank contains all the pulp and bears the weight of the body itself and the total load. Therefore, it is very important to support the foundation construction of the water tank. In order to avoid the influence of the deformation of the water tank due to improper support, the machine is equipped with a schematic diagram of the foundation structure, which can be used as a reference for foundation design.

5.Drain valve: In order to discharge the slurry from the water tank if necessary, a drain valve can be installed at the lower part of the water tank to discharge the slurry at any time. It can be closed during normal production.

6.Lifting device: It consists of motor, worm gear reducer, bevel gear pair, nut, screw and other components. When the classifier stops working, a lifting device is provided to avoid the need for overloading operation and maintenance work for the solids in the slurry to be pressed against the spiral. When the classifier is parked, the helix must be lifted from the sink so that most of the helix leaves the slurry. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of the lifting device, a stroke end switch is provided to enable the lifting stroke to be controlled by itself. When the screw is lifted, hook the screw with a hook to prevent it from falling off. When the classifier is parked, the lifting device is activated to automatically raise the screw to a certain height. When the classifier is working, the lifting device is also rotated to lower the screw to the working position. This maintains the life of the drive components and prevents the hollow shaft from breaking due to excessive load. The user can determine whether it is necessary to install a linkage control electric device according to specific conditions. The manufacturer does not supply the parts required for this electrical installation.

Working principle

The spiral classifier is based on the principle that the solid particle size and the sedimentation speed in the liquid are different, and the fine ore particles float in the water to overflow and the coarse ore particles sink to the bottom of the tank. A grading device that is mechanically classified by a screw-up to the upper portion. The powder level which can be ground in the mill can be filtered, and then the coarse material is screwed into the mill feed port by the spiral rotary vane, and the filtered fine material is discharged from the overflow pipe.
